I just replaced the rear facing camera of my HTC one M8 and the camera app keep crashing unexpectedly and other apps with camera functions also crash or just show black and now way to switch to front facing.
I tried swaping back in the old camera with broken autofocus and it works. There is no bent pins on new camera so installation should have been successful.
Is this common after replacing a camera on phones and i need to do some form of software tweak to make the new one work or could this be a issue with the replacement part?
