Hi, my redmi note 3 pro snapdragon 650 suddenly started rebooting untill the battery went empty. It heated in a way I could not handle it (not the battery but the I think where the CPU sits) .
I used an icepack to cool it down and was able to get my pictures off , and then even I could use miflash to install a different rom.
Now the phone does work but 1 core of the cpu is always stopped or 0% , depending on which app I use.
The phone drains its battery in approx. 8 hours while not doing much ( used to be 28 hours with normal usage) . It also developed a hot spot which can be felt on the frond and back just around the camera and fingerpring sensor. ) When calling it is not nice to feel that warm spot near your ear , and also the hot spot is felt when inside my pocket.
I bought it from a Seller called Top-One on AliExpress , but they do not respond to me to help me solve this issue (I had it just 1 month when this happened). And AliExpress support is not able to convince the seller to help me ( buyer protection was over) so no refund/replacement. And a not really usable phone.
So what do you think might be wrong, and could there be a way around the 1 core that is not doing anything ( I know that cores go idele when not using it , but this core never runs while the others do). The phone further works okay , just warm and drain ...
