Ok - so my partners G4 developed a fault.
It went back to Vodafone UK to get fixed - when it was sent the phone was unlocked - so it could be used on the EE network.
When the phone came back, it was locked again - or so we thought.
The reality is that they sent out a different phone - different IMEI number to the phone sent in for repair.
However - we didn't realise this initially - we thought the phone had been re-locked when in for repair.
So the old unlock codes we used (which were acquired from eBay) no longer worked - and now we've used 7 out of the 10 available attempts to network unlock the phone.
I'd be a lot more comfortable with 10 attempts - you know, just in case.
Is it possible to reset the attempt count?
If so, how do you do it?
