My Ultra suddenly turned off and now only get a red LED (solid) with usb cable ...

Looks like my phone just died! :/
Found it off and wont charge via magnetic port and I can only get a solid red LED when plugged via USB but I left it a long time connected and got REALLY hot but wont power on no matter what combination of buttons....any ideas?
Looking at a C6833 or Huawei Honor x2 703L (or Mediapad X2 702L) as possible replacements now...
