Last month, we exclusively reported the details of a new Xiaomi flagship, code-named "beryllium," that was headed for India and other international markets. The Xiaomi Pocophone F1 was then leaked, and we speculated that the beryllium and the Xiaomi Pocophone F1 were the same products. Then, the phone's pricing details for Europe were leaked. Most recently, the phone received Bluetooth certification, confirming the presence of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 system-on-chip and dual rear cameras. Now, Xiaomi has officially launched the Poco brand in India.
At this point, Xiaomi hasn't revealed many details about the Poco brand, but it's probable to assume that the Xiaomi Pocophone F1 will indeed launch soon in India. (The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S and the Xiaomi Mi 8 haven't been launched in India.) Internationally, Xiaomi is promoting the brand as Pocophone, but in India, the brand is named Poco. Xiaomi India's Lead Product Manager Jai Mani will be heading the brand. On Twitter, Mr. Mani stated that he has been working on a new project, that is "Poco by Xiaomi." The tweet also reveals two new Twitter accounts for the Indian and global markets for the upcoming Pocophone.
God'speed' @JaiMani and the @IndiaPOCO team! Now this is going to be exciting. https://t.co/3YFsf7ySHX

The Xiaomi India Twitter account has responded to Mr. Mani's tweet by wishing him well for the new project, while not providing any details about the Pocophone F1. However, thanks to the Bluetooth certification, we already know that the phone will have a notched Full HD+ display, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 system-on-chip, 6GB of RAM with 64GB/128GB of storage, 12MP primary rear camera with 1.4um pixels, 5MP secondary camera, and a 20MP front-facing camera with "Super Pixel" technology. It may be powered by a 4,000mAh battery.
With respect to pricing, an earlier leak had revealed that the 6GB RAM/64GB storage variant will cost €420, while the 6GB RAM/128GB storage variant will cost €460. Color options are rumored to be Blue and Grey. We expect to learn more details about the Pocophone F1 soon.
