We recently made a comprehensive list to track upcoming and unreleased phones by major vendors. On that list, we noted that OPPO was due to launch at least three new phones: the OPPO F9, OPPO F9 Pro, OPPO R17/ OPPO R17 Pro. The company has been teasing the OPPO F9 Pro for a while, and specifications of the OPPO F9 have also been leaked. OPPO's F series is the mainstream mid-range series, while the R series are upper mid-range/pseudo-flagship series. Now, the OPPO R17 has been listed on the company's official Chinese website, revealing most of the specifications for the phone.
The render posted on the leaking also shows how the phone will look like. Like the OPPO F9 Pro, the OPPO R17 will have a very small notch, and a glass back with gradient colors. It will have a 6.4-inch Full HD+ 19:9 ratio with 91.5% screen-to-body ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection. It will also have a 10nm Snapdragon SoC, which means that it will either use the Snapdragon 670 or the Snapdragon 710.
Interestingly, it will have an in-display fingerprint sensor that can unlock the phone in 0.41 seconds. The R17 will be powered by a 3,500mAh battery with VOOC fast charging. It's also expected to arrive with a cheaper variant that has a back-mounted fingerprint sensor.

The OPPO R17 will come in Twilight Blue and Starry Purple colors with gradient finish. The company has also started teasing the high-end R17 Pro which is rumored to pack triple rear cameras. The listing says that the smartphone will be available for order from August 18, so the announcement could happen next week.
