LG officially confirms the LG G7 ThinQ, will be revealed on May 2nd

The LG G7 has been the subject of many leaks and rumors in the past few months. There was a time when we didn't even know if we'd get the G7 this year. However, we've seen the device in several leaked photos lately (notch included) and we're getting a better idea of what specs to expect. LG Korea has finally given us some official information about the G7. They shared the official LG G7 ThinQ logo and announced the launch event dates.

It didn't take a genius to figure out what the LG G7 ThinQ logo would look like, but now we can confirm the official branding. The more important news is the launch event dates. LG Korea says the phone will be fully revealed on May 2nd in New York City and May 3rd in Seoul, South Korea. This confirms the previous rumor about the May/June launch date. If the branding didn't already make it clear, LG also confirmed the phone will indeed have AI features.

"Since smartphones have focused on filling new functions and more functions so far, it is time for us to find solutions to how convenient customers actually use them. We will show the convenience that we have not seen until now by concentrating the accumulated AI technology," said Ha Jeong-wook, managing director of LG Electronics

The LG V30S ThinQ was the first device with LG's new AI features. We can expect to see all of the same AI features, including the AI CAM, QLens, Voice AI, Empathy AI, Vision AI, and possibly some new tricks. As May approaches, we will learn more about the LG G7 and everything it will bring to the table. Are you looking forward to this phone?
