All may not be well for Nokia and HMD Global today. Right alongside Arto Nummela's resignation as the CEO of HMD Global, a news which itself is very surprising, the first Nokia flagship also got leaked on Nokia's official website.
Originally found by a Baidu user and shared as a screenshot, the official Nokia homepage showcased the unreleased Nokia 8 through its marketing imagery.
The webpage has since been pulled down, obviously. However, the webpage does end up confirming the previous Nokia 8 renders which had revealed the device in all of its dual camera glory. The pictured device comes with capacitive buttons and a front fingerprint sensor, which accurately matches the previous render.
The Nokia 8 is expected to be launched on July 31st. The design of the device is no secret now, but the rest of its specs do invite speculation. The Nokia 8 is rumored to sport a 5.3″ QHD display on the front, and a dual rear camera on the rear. The cameras wil be 13MP individually and will sport the Zeiss branding that was popularly seen in yesteryear's phones from Nokia. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 is expected to power the brains of the device, with RAM expected to be 4GB and internal storage expected to be around 64GB. The device could cost around $675, though we will have to wait on the official announcement for the final pricing and availability details.
