TWRP 3.1.1 Released for the Moto Z2 Play

The Lenovo Moto Z2 Play was only recently released to consumers, and already XDA Recognized Developer Santhosh M has been able to port TWRP 3.1.1 to the device.

Force encryption is enabled by default, but TWRP should decrypt /data at first boot. To use the recovery, you need to unlock your bootloader. You can find information about how to do it on Motorola's website. To flash the recovery onto your device, you need to use the standard fastboot flash recovery.img command.

With the release of a custom recovery, users will be able to flash custom ROMs, kernels, and modifications to their Moto Z2 Play devices as these become available. Of course, this requires the efforts of developers to start working on this device which can't be understated.
