How to Root, unlock bootloader and custom recovery

First of all I am new to rooting and I just got my oneplus 2 and updated it into 6.0.1 and Oxygen OS 3.0.2 which guide should I follow?

I ve enabled debugging and oem unlocking, and the device is listed as ADB interface on Device Manager does that mean I have adb commands and drivers ready to go no problemos?

Fingerprint sensor calibration problems

When i enter the testing menu on *#0*# and test the fingerprint sensor i get 1 pass and other tests fail. My fingerprint scanner is working fine btw. Can anyone tell me why this is happening and whats their phone's status ? Tia

Going to gift one of these, some questions...

Hello all,
i just received my order of this phone. Got a good deal on it. Going to be giving it as a gift. My previous experience with android 5.0.2 was it was broken. Is it good on this phone? Its already on it, i was just hoping the memory leaks aren't an issue anymore. Otherwise im fine rooting and romming (thats possible to do with this phone via htc dev unlock right?), but if thats the case what is the best sense ROM for battery life? Thanks in advance! Any other tips or recommendations, feel free to let me know.
